The short version: your trips are computed on your device and never leave it.

What we store

• Your travel ledger is saved in your browser's local storage so it survives page reloads. It exists only on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser data (or deleting stays in the calculator) removes it.
• No accounts, no cookies for tracking, no third-party analytics are used at the time of writing. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.

What the server sees

The site is served as static files. Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and delivery, under its own privacy policy. There is no application server: there is nowhere for your trip data to go even in principle.

Share links

The calculator currently does not create shareable links. When a sharing feature is added, it will encode your trips in the URL fragment (the part after #), which browsers do not send to servers — and this page will explain exactly what that means before it launches.

Your choices

Because everything is local, you are in control: use the calculator without saving anything by clearing your local storage afterwards, or browse the rule explanations with JavaScript disabled.
